Kilauea fissure

Spectacular new fissure opens at Kilauea

This brief, but mind-blowing video from the US Geological Survey shows lava flowing into a fissure that recently opened up between Pu‘u ‘O‘o and Napau Crater. Note the tiny helicopter, which will give you a sense of how wide this hole is; the depth is currently unknown.
