WDW Tiki Room update: signs point to old management returning
The future of Walt Disney World's Enchanted Tiki Room continues to be filled with mystery and intrigue.
Last month, we had heard reports that AA figures had been ordered to replace the ones lost in the fire that broke out in the attic area which housed Iago, Zazu, and the Birdmobile -- now Stitch Kingdom is reporting that when the attraction reopens on July 1st of this year, the old "Tropical Serenade" show will return.
If that's the case, don't be surprised if it's a variation of the Offenbach-less California version. I just don't see Disney reinstalling the Magic Fountain. Since the Offenbach number was the only part of the show that really featured the fountain, deleting it would be make the fountain unnecessary and potentially save the walkouts that Disneyland was experiencing. Plus, the programming is already in the can, which is a cost-saver for sure.
But hey, one never knows...
