Walt Disney Classics Collection releases Finding Nemo tiki head sculpture
Since 1992, The Walt Disney Classics Collection has done an outstanding job translating Disney's 2D (and now 3D) artwork into figurine form, producing beautifully sculpted and painted piecesthat are always "on model," as they say in the animation industry.
Checking out the redesign of DisneyShopping.com I stumbled upon something wonderful. As part of the WDCC's Finding Nemo line, the company is producing a sculpture of the tiki heads at the bottom of Dr. Sherman's fish tank. Somebody at Pixar is a big fan of tiki, as we've talked about before, and I'm really psyched that the WDCC's designers would choose to bring something so seemingly obscure to life.
Besides the tiki heads, fans should note that they are also producing the tiki hut Nemo slept in.
$50 each.
