flickr user Kamaaina56 has uploaded an amazing set of over 500 images of Hawaii from just before it gained statehood. Territory of Hawaii 1950s is culled from postcards, photos, and other ephemera from the era and is divided into subcategories based on location (Waikiki, Honolulu, Big Island, Maui, Kauai, Oahu) and subject (restaurants, hulas & luaus, restaurants, military life, etc.).
Be prepared to spend some time here -- you're going to need a couple of hours to really appreciate everything that he's uploaded!
