Tiki Ti 50th Anniversary, Los Angeles, CA

Tiki Ti, the Los Angeles tiki bar staple, is celebrating its 50th year of operation this year. Opened in 1961 by ex-Don the Beachcomber bartender Ray Buhen, the 12-seat bar has managed to survive the rocky times when tiki drinks fell out of fashion to come back strong with the cocktail revival of the '90s and '00s.

The party runs for four nights starting April 28, 2011, from 4pm on. Festivities include champange toasts, free cupcakes, raffles, and Tiki-Ti's rum punch for ONLY $5!

Limited numbers of anniversary merchandise will be available each evening: tiki mugs, hats, jackets, coconut cups, fez, and prints and originals by artist Miles Thompson.
