Tiki Joe Mysteries graphic novelWriter and artist Mark Murphy has combined noir, late ’50s-early ’60s pop culture, and tiki in his 80-page graphic novel, Tiki Joe Mysteries.

The novel contains two stories. In the first, “Tiki” Joe Halliday is an ex-WWII vet running a tiki bar in Las Vegas who reunites his war buddies to hit back at the mob when the police will do nothing. In the second, Joe might be getting set up to take the fall in a jewel heist by an all-female motorcycle gang.
