Shag documentary, The Sophisticated Misfit, to debut at the 2007 Newport Beach Film Festival

Shag documentary The Sophisticated MisfitDirector Mark Chervinsky spent four years on and off with Shag, the acclaimed ex-graphic designer turned fine artist whose work is filled with 1960s idolatry: tikis, go-go girls, and 6-wheeled ATVs. The result is Sophisticated Misfit, a 60-minute look into the artist's life and work, featuring celebrity collectors and proponents of tiki culture.

A $45.00 ticket to the premier also gets you into an after party.
