Shag coming to Walt Disney World June 24-25, 2011 for 40th Anniversary merchandise signing events

Finally, somebody at Disney has gotten off their butts and sent out details about the Walt Disney World Shag 40th Anniversary merchandise signing event scheduled for this weekend. ~~There are still no images of the merchandise (other than the park map print revealed in January), but at least we have~~ Sometime this morning Disney updated the site with merchandise images, times and locations (see below):

Disney Theme Parks Merchandise is working with many well known artists to create all sorts of wonderful artwork offerings, among them well known artist SHAG has been approached to utilize his signature art style in the creation of a truly unique collection. Showcasing the original icons of the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort - SHAG has captured the essence of fun and wonder that has comprised this magical kingdom since it opened its gates on October 1, 1971.

Friday's event at the Magic Kingdom requires the purchase of a park ticket for entry. Saturday's is free and open to the public. Both will certainly be swamped.
