New York-based bar supply company Orchids of Hawaii was once one of the most prolific suppliers of tiki mugs in the industry. Their stock designs were used by countless bars, sometimes customized with lettering but often not.
Blog I'm Learning to Share recently posted the company's Bartender's Guide and Catalog from 1981, showcasing the entire product line and their version of drink recipes to accompany the mugs, including variations on the Fog Cutter, Navy Grog, Maiden's Downfall, and Mai Tai.
Orchids of Hawaii went out of business in the early 1990s. According to Scott McGerik, the molds for the mugs were acquired by another company, Dynasty Wholesale, who is still producing the designs today.
