This week, sunny San Diego, California plays host to the San Diego Ukulele Festival July 14-16, 2011.
Events include concerts by ukulele masters Jake Shimabukuro and James Hill, and performances by Ukulele Bartt, Derick Sebastian, Fred Thompson and the Ukulele Orchestra of Southern California, Uncle Dave, Jim D'Ville, Sarah Maisel, Oasis Ukulele Club, the USA Ukulele Club, Ukulele Ray, Ronnie Seno, Brad Norris, Erich Blase and Bassman Mike, Kalama Brothers, plus polynesian dancers, ukulele workshops, hula workshops, lei-making, polynesian food, and giveaways.
VIP packages are available which include a luau dinner and special seating. There is free admission to the concerts in a lawn seating area.
