R.I.P. Leliani Lanes
Leilani Lanes, a Seattle, Washington fixture since 1961, closed down last week and the contents auctioned off.
The locals snapped up the decorations, which included Witco carvings along with the usual bowling alley fare.
This is just the latest example of the growing trend of well-loved tiki-themed establishments being razzed because the land it sits on has grown too valuable. A 200-unit apartment building will take Leliani Lanes place soon.
