Richie Fahey shoots pulp tiki art prints
New York City photographer Richie Fahey's work looks like it could have come off the cover of a 1940's dimestore novel. His images are both gritty and glamourous, rendered by painting over black and white photography with colored photo oils. It comes as no surprise that his work has been used by numerous publishing companies, including the recently redesigned and rereleased James Bond series.
Fahey has a number of tiki-related images, including this example of every tiki loving man's nightmare/fantasy, "Waikiki Wally's Taboo Hula Girl," available for sale through Vintage Arte House. Prices range from $17.99 to $69.99 depending on size.
