Rambutan, Sydney, Australia

RambutanThe food critic for the Sydney Morning Herald, who pines for a real tiki bar Down Under, has a lot of good things to say about this Thai restaurant with enough of a tiki feel to get him by. The bar serves Thai-twists on tropical drinks, like a Pina Colada that uses coconut cream, ginger and lemon bitters instead of pineapple juice.

In the review, Dan Kaufman says:

I don't like to gush (it messes with my world-weary, cynical, man-of-the-world image) but Rambutan is the most impressive bar I've been to for a while. If only little plastic monkeys and elephants were perched on the rims of the cocktail glasses, I'd be in tiki heaven.

That's got to be the most positive review of any restaurant I've read in a while.
