Mickey Mouse throws a luau on Mickey’s Big Splash DVD
Like most families with kids, we spend a lot of time watching The Disney Channel, and for now, at least, our youngest is addicted to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Last year we were especially amused by two episodes that had Hawaiian/tiki elements in the storyline:
- In Pete's Beach Blanket Luau, Mickey and the gang decide to throw a luau party at a local lake. There's a good message about cleaning up a recycling in the episode, plus some comedic moments with Donald and Goofy, in particular, one where Goofy looses his grass skirt and Daisy and Minnie slowly back away with disturbed looks on their faces.
- In Mickey and Minnie's Jungle Safari, the group sets out to find a hula-dancing flower for Minnie to paint.
Both of these episodes have been released on DVD; unfortunately, not on the same one. Pete's Beach Blanket Luau is on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey's Big Splash
