Learn about historical tiki architecture at great new blog

Tiki Architecture blogMike Skinner, P.E., lives a double life. By day, he's a Civil Engineer in Colorado; by night, an author and lecturer on the subject of Polynesian Pop architecture.

You may have attended his seminar at Hukilau in 2008 (look for him again in 2011 with more information on the history of the Mai-Kai). In the meantime, he's started up a blog with tons of information and insight. Stories to date have been written about the demolished The Waikikian on Oahu, the Royal Hawaiian Apartments in Huntington Beach, CA, and an elaborate backyard tiki display.
