Hula Moon Lounge At Hula Hanks, Stamford, CT
Friday April 7th, from 8pm to 10pm, the Tiki Moon Lounge is hosting a special party at Hula Hanks in Stamford, on 261 Main Street, in the back alley behind The Black Bear Saloon.
Hula Hanks ranks as one of the most popular restaurant/bars in Fairfield County, inspired by Cancun, Spring Break and Hawaii. The Tiki Moon Lounge has met regularly every Monday since October of 2004 at the charming little Tiki bar inside Papaya Thai restaurant in South Norwalk. It's been called a "Polynesian treat" by Tom Connors, business editor of the Norwalk Hour.
It was only a matter of time before the two joined forces to host a big event!
The Tiki Moon Lounge is the party side of the Greenburbs web site, the well established green lifestyle portal for Fairfield County, and the official local Greendrinks chapter, a global meeting place for environmentalists.
Tiki Moon, which got its name from the CD by Kenny Sasaki & The Tiki Boys, has screened environmental documentary films at the Westport Public Library and is quietly working on creating a 24/7 all-environmental news channel for your Pocket PC.
Among the many sponsors for the April 7th event at Hula Hanks is Green Label, the most environmentally friendly t-shirt company in America, based in Burlington, North Carolina. Half a dozen shirts will be raffled.
Electric Transportation Solutions, based in White Plains, is launching its new ETS Energy web store. So to celebrate, ETS will bring electric bikes to test ride, and later, pop corks on a wide selection of organic French wines.
Other participants include:
- Local chapter members of the Scikotics Scion Club are expected to attend.
- Electrifying Times magazine will have a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid at the door.
- Cell-Nique, a new organic health drink company based in Weston, will serve Greentinis.
There will be an open bar and appetizers for everyone from 8pm to 9pm.
