Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame & Museum
The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame was organized in 1994 to inspire and engage new generations of Hawaiians to perpetuate Hawaii's traditional music through performance and exhibit. They've inducted 34 honorees since the organization's inception, including Lili`uokalani (pictured here, Hawaii's last queen and the author of "Aloha 'Oe"), Sol Ho`opi`i, Alfred Apaka, and Albert R. "Sonny" Cunha.
The group is working to find a permanent location to place exhibits and make materials available to the public.
In the meantime, the group's message board, "Talk Story Forum" is a very active place for exchanging information about Hawaii's musical legacy.
