Forbidden Island 5th Anniversary Party, Alameda, CA
The wonderful Forbidden Island tiki bar in Alameda, California, is celebrating its 5th Anniversary on April 21, 2011 from 5PM-midnight.
Highlights of the night include:
- DJ OTTO VON STROHEIM, one of the founders of the "neo-tiki movement" and an Alameda resident, spinning exotica, lounge and surf platters
- Live custom velvet painting by tiki artist MP
- delicious hors d'ouvres
- Limited Edition Anniversary mug (and accompanying statue), featuring our signature Tiki, Tabu, being shipped to Forbidden Island in a crate. Sculpted and molded by WENDY CEVOLA (aka "danlovestiki")
- Special Anniversary drink, served in limited edition Anniversary bowl, produced by the #1 maker and seller of tiki drink vessels, TIKI FARM
- Debut of our all-new premium rum menu, featuring 20 new rums and expanded info on our immense rum collection
There are only 50 of the limited-edition mugs (along with 60 statues -- a non-fillable version of the same sculpture) which are available on a first-come, first serve basis.
