Betty Boop dashboard hula girl
Betty Boop is classic Americana — an endearing character that has managed to stay in the public consciousness even though she hasn't been seen on screen since 1939 (not counting her appearance in 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit, of course). The original Betty Boop cartoons were an amazing product of their time: overtly sexy with hot jazz soundtracks and inanimate objects that randomly (and oddly) come to life.
There's a ton of merchandise that's still being made today, including this: a dashboard hula girl with the character's likeness (although not necessarily her proportions).
7" tall, resin. $17.95
UPDATE: About 30 seconds after posting about the dashboard hula girl, I came across this statue on the same site — Betty and a tiki. She actually looks pretty hot in that pose.
6" x 3.25" x 3.25". $29.95
